Kiwis tell Geldof to fuckoff

Bob “look at me I had a song once” Geldof has torn verbal strips off Helen for not giving enough money to despots.

Normally the “my enemies enemy is my friend” syndrom would kick in and the kiwi blogs would all be saying yeah right on brother becase we’re either screaming lefties who don’t think it’s possible to give too much money to the likes of Hammas or North Korea or we just plain hate Helen and anyone on that wagon has to be one of us.

In this case he’s pretty much getting the crap slapped out of him. we’re over taxed already and evey kiwi knows any more spending is preceeded by another new tax when Scrooge McCullen holding the purse. Besides which we’re already over commited with one of the world smallest military forces in the world being deployed in 19 other countries on various missions like peace keeping medical and rebuliding which tends to be a shit load more useful to the recipients than buying Mugabe a new solid gold toothbrush.

We’re also not that thrilled with where the money is going already and I for one want to see LESS aid going out to other people when we are not even taking care of our own now. Then there’s the factor of the bizarely high number of refugees we take – cloesly followed by their imediate families (over 140 imeditate family in one case) who are the recipients of substantial aid.

In short, you’re talkiing out of your ass Bob, you’ve been here 10 seconds, you have not bother to find out what our lives are like and you’re telling us we’re bad people for not thorwing our personal money at your pet project.
