Project update.

Stage 3: Construction

Meet Chucky:

mang1.jpg

Chucky is a solidly built Capricorn, with a heart of pine.

He doesn’t really go in for long walks on the beach - or even short ones.

He is, however, a keen bowler for anyone willing to face a 5 kg solid metal cricket ball.

You can meet Chucky at Harcourt Park in a couple of weeks time.

  1. Steven Den Beste Says:

What are you going to use for a spring? Wound rope? Wound bungie?

  2. Murray Says:

    There will be some experimentation.

I’m planning to try some old rubber to see if its less destructive than rope as well.

If only I could score an old KE rope… I wonder if there’s any laying around in Trentham.

  3. Oswald Bastable Says:

That kinetic rope is just nylon rope.

It has a good stretch and you will find that climbing rope has the same properties!

  4. Murray Says:

Depends on exactly what sort of rope it is, some is made rigid so you don’t bounce on the way down.

I’ll just play with it and see what works best.

Note to horse owners in the Upper Hutt area: I know nothing about any missing tails alright!
