What Kind of A Man Would Do Such A Thing
The following was forwarded to me for publication. Another event the MSM doesn’t think the public have a right to know about.
Jack Tilley, Sergeant Major of the Army, was with a group of people who recently were visiting wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC. He saw a Special Forces soldier who had lost his right hand and suffered severe wounds of his face and side of his body. Sgt. Tilley wanted to honor him and show him respect without offending, but what can you say or do in such a situation that will encourage and uplift?
How do you shake the right hand of a soldier who has none? He decided to act as though the hand was not missing and gripped the soldiers wrist while speaking words of comfort and encouragement to him. However, there was another man in the group who knew exactly what to do. This man reverently took the soldier’s stump of a hand in both of his hands, bowed at the bedside, and prayed for him. When he finished the prayer he stood up, bent over the soldier, kissed him on the head, and told him that he loved him.
Sgt. Tilley was awed by the powerful expression of love for one of our wounded heroes he was witnessing! “What a beautiful Christ-like example!” he thought, moved to tears.
What kind of a man would do such a thing?
It was the wounded man’s Commander-In-Chief, George W. Bush, President of the United States.
This eyewitness account was told by Sergeant Major Jack Tilley at a Soldiers Breakfast at Red Stone Arsenal, AL, and recorded by Chaplain James Henderson.

That is the sort of story that scares the hell out of the looney left which is why they don’t report them.
There are quite a few stories like this about G W that have been authenticated by the recipients of such actions.

and considering it happened nearly four years ago, is it really something the MSM would be interested in publishing now?
(The Snopes article shows that at least two US papers did publish the story at the time).

Well they’re quite happy to publish dusty friendly incidents and replay three year old footage over commentary for so called news so I’m calling equal time.
Is that two WHOLE newspapers in the US. Out of how many?
Gosh, it’s a wonder anyone had anything else to talk about.

“Is that two WHOLE newspapers in the US.”
Two papers were cited on Snopes as having published the story. I have no idea how many actually reported it.
“Well they’re quite happy to publish dusty friendly incidents and replay three year old footage over commentary for so called news”
What are you referring to?

What a steaming pile of pseudo-romantic bullshit. Its the sort of vile Victorian sentimentality that I would expect from a stuffed shirt dressing up toy soldier like you Murray. Why don’t you join the Marines and see how romatic having your hand blown actually is?
We left that sort of bullshit behind in the lies of Kipling and the apologists of the idiots who delivered the catastophre of the Great War.

My service number has five digits and start with 52.
This will tell you I joined the regular force army in 1984. It was a teeth arm.
Fuck you socialist winging cunt. You and shit talking spineless scum like you only exist with the freedom to be complete cunts in public because better men like me and the mates I buried made it so. I need your approval like I need rectal cancer.
Don’t even say thank you, just get fucked and keep the fuck out of my house you worthless sack of shit.

toms, some time before the unfortunate soldier lost his hand, he signed a document with it. He then raised that hand and swore among other things to obey his superior officer’s legal orders and to defend the Constitution of the United States.
All these things he did VOLUNTARILY, without coercion or by Act of Congress drafting him against his will. He joined a select group of those who think freedom, democracy and civilisation is worth putting thamselves in harm’s way to uphold.
If you regard his most senior officer raising his blasted stump and honoring him in return as romantic vile sentimental bullshit and lies you are just plain churlish.
Go see the USMC recruiting officer yourself, I hear they are looking for a few good men.

Then what would they want with him?

Murray - When the Marines started taking women, I remember my dad saying that “the Marines build men, no matter what they start with.”
I don’t think he anticipated the likes of toms and the Hate the West crowd coming along.

I’m the mother of an American soldier, veteran of both Afghanistan and Iraq. I appreciate you folks going to bat for our kids. President Bush is a kind and compassionate man, in a difficult position. Our soldiers are also doing a difficult job, trying to fight a dangerous idea instead of a clear cut enemy.
I grew up during vietnam. My friends went to war during a draft, but did their duty for their country( something the Toms in the world would never do, much less visit a Veteran’s Hospital and offer support or friendship). Then they were treated heinously by the trash enjoying the freedoms they provided. The left is already starting the hate, with Kerry suggesting our service men and women are ignorant; something I will never forget.
My son says the USA will fall like Rome if it ignores the evil in the world. We are and have always been, much too “isolationist.” Before the Great War (I) we allowed the Armenians and Khurds to be slaughtered, During WWII thousands more who could have been saved, were killed because we wanted, “Peace in our time” and today we still don’t want to fight “anyone elses war.” The trouble is that the world is getting smaller and ignoring what’s out there will effect us more than most people know. It will come to bite us.
The left may well win this election coming up due to the media- so the best we can do is support our military and prepare to be bitten.
