Project Tentage.

There is a world of difference between what I think I’m doing and what I’m actually doing. Fortunately I have two advisers to keep me up to speed on what it is I’m up to. For example at 05:30 this morning I thought I was sleeping. This turned out to be wrong and what I was actually doing was getting Jess some jellymeat… no NOT the biscuits! Jellymeat dumass!

This afternoon I was under the delusion that I was setting up my Roman tent to check the measurements before cutting sewing the sides and ends.

In fact what I was doing was setting up a feline sun shade with centrally located leaning/scratching post. You can in theory get 8 Legionaries (practically 6 because 25% are always on duty) into one of these and this is the high NCO’s version as well. In practice you can fit just one black and white cat because its HERS!

Thanks dad, just the right size!

As an aside you can see that the canvas is just pegged on and there are only 6 lines not the final 14 but it is surprisingly stable. The aim is to make 4 of these for a school teaching program I’ve written.

Anyone wishing to comment on the authenticity of canvas is welcome to buy me the 40 odd goat skins needed to get all “genuine”. Till then, canvas it is.

Long ago I saw the play Sylvia’s Real Good Advice[*] in Chicago, which contained the song (sung by cats) “Everything Here Is Mine”. That oughta be the cat national anthem.

[*]Based on the comic strip Sylvia (which you may not get down there), drawn by a woman named Nicole Hollander, who now has terminal BDS and so what was a good comic strip is now about 1/3 shrill, humorless anti-government invective.

Looks like she used the title for a book.
