Actually yes, reenactment is dangerous.
Thats why we work really hard to be safe.
And still shell out for public liability.
Its also why I’m in artillery, not jousting. That and they can’t find a horse stong enough to carry me.

How awful. I guess I can understand why they never thought of it, but I wonder if they will start wearing safety goggles under their helmets.
(I assume you gentlemen-of-the-artillery always wear goggles when you work, right?)

I dont know If they make goggles that stout, back in the day when no one had thought of Manchester United and Jousting was a mainstream sport the casualty lists were pretty impressive. Somtimes the bear gets you.
