Note to self:
Must stop writting essays on the “because I felt like it” principle.
If anyone wants to know why Roman naval warfare is more like early 20th century naval warfare than any other period, the essay will be here shortly - after I finish explaining why I wrote it to the lecturer.
(Because “the book” was wrong is apprently an incorrect answer.)

I assume it is not because the Olympia has a ram bow. Intriguing comcept, perhaps the Romal model prestaged what was setdown by Mahan???
